Breeding Generations of Belgian Sheepdogs since 1979

ABOUT CHANCERY
I purchased my first Belgian in 1979, Ch Lorjen Rising Star. "Mandee" was her name. Mandee was everything that I hoped for. My first litter was co-bred with Maxine and Roger Ellis, which carried their kennel name, Lorjen. From that first litter (Ch Inselheim's Shades O'High Mount x Ch Lorjen Rising Star) came some recognized dogs which I am very proud of: AM/CAN Ch Lorjen Heir Apparent CD HOF ROM CGC HIC, AM Ch Lorjen Hawkmaster HOF, AM Ch Lorjen High Honors CD CGC HIC, and AM/CAN Ch Lorjen High Hopes HIC CGC. "Hope" was the daughter that I kept from my first breeding.
I wanted to base my breeding on soundness of structure and temperament. With limited breeding in the past 25 years, I am proud of their accomplishments. I am now on my 6th generation of breeding. The future has become promising as we look forward.
I now reside in Nazareth, Pennsylvania with my husband of 25 years, Mark. We have 2 children, Mark Jr who is 24, and Izzy is 21 years old. I have taken a few years off of active showing to have and raise my children. I have realized what a valuable part the dogs have become to the family and what a true family companion the belgian is. It is a true joy to watch the dogs play with our children. The children are a big part of our dogs' and puppies' socialization.
